Our guanina

The educational zone of the Health Sciences Park covers an area of 98,000 m², with capacity to house the new faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Currently, the faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine are located in the Park.

The presence of the University and other training centres provides a source of qualified talent for the other activities in the Park. The HSTP also takes part in the FPDual project, which opens up the possibility of attracting talent with non-University professional qualifications, which are keenly needed by companies, Research Centres and Healthcare Centres.

There are 1,300 Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy students in this new 15,700 m² space, with a total of 66 classrooms and different departments and laboratories. There are also three subsidiary research areas and laboratories.

Today, this centre offers the following courses: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, Master’s Degree in Healthcare for the Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care in End-of-Life Processes, Master’s Degree in Gerontology, Dependence and Protection of the Elderly, Master’s Degree in Secondary and Baccalaureate Teacher Training (for the healthcare speciality).

This Faculty, covering 28,600 m2, is housed in three buildings. Today, it offers the following courses: Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Master’s Degree in Physical and Forensic Anthropology, Master’s Degree in Advanced Diagnostic Radiology and Therapy and Physical Medicine, Master’s Degree in Regenerative Biomedicine, Master’s Degree in Tissue Engineering, Master’s Degree in Translational Research and Personalised Medicine, Master’s Degree in Research and Advanced Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Master’s Degree in Neuroscience and Pain.

This centre is managed by the IAVANTE Foundation and is part of the Regional Ministry of Health of the Andalusian Regional Government. It is unique in Europe for its development and training of health professionals using cutting-edge technologies in simulation and robotics. It is a magnificent testbed, ideal for validating innovative technologies and methodology, creating virtual environments, new communication supports and access to information for teaching purposes and for application in the Andalusian Public Health System.

The CMAT is the highest example of innovation in healthcare training, a healthcare simulation centre where Iavante combines the most advanced simulation methodologies and tests new technologies applied to training and health. This makes it unique in Europe.

The mission of this Foundation is to support the creation of networks between scientific, educational, cultural and social institutions in order to promote greater dissemination of science and knowledge. The Descubre Foundation is a continuation of the science and knowledge dissemination project that began with the creation of the Andalusian Network of Spaces for Scientific and Technical Dissemination, on 12 December 2007. It is a meeting point for Andalusian society, science and innovation, and is aimed primarily at the public.
