This environment enjoys access to lines of research developed by other research bodies, access to talent trained at the University of Granada, specialised infrastructure necessary for the development and testing of products, as well as a large body of patients who attend the clinical facilities in the Park.

The main purpose of the Health Sciences Technology Park Business Centre is to house technological companies, with special emphasis on those related to Life and Health Sciences,
and bioinformatics and biosanitary companies in general which have appeared through the Andalusia Bioregion cluster, the University, its technology centres and the R&D departments of companies located in the technopolis.
The European Business and Innovation Centre, BIC Granada, is managed by the Andalusian Regional Government’s Innovation and evelopment Agency and receives European Union funding. It is a centre of excellence that works in coordination with the business-science innovation system.
The BioRegion Building is a business centre housing bodies such as the Fernando de los Ríos Consortium, a public body whose objective is to boost the percentage of the Andalusian
population that accesses and uses technology, the Descubre Foundation, which is devoted to the dissemination of science, the CIDAF, a functional food technology centre, and companies such as Bricam Medical and YMUBI.
Vircell is a biotechnology company specialised in the development and production of ready-to-use reagents for the diagnosis of infectious diseases in humans by means of different techniques, ranging from traditional cell culture to the most innovative developments in Molecular Biology.
