Balance, the true virtue

Your team is your energy; it is the nucleus and the experience that builds your business and achieves its full potential. At the Health Sciences Technology Park, we believe that the welfare of employees is a priority and we offer you a space where you can find a rewarding work-life balance.

Together with the research infrastructure, we have ample opportunities for leisure and sport. Within the Park, there are tennis and paddle tennis courts, and football pitches. Just a 30-minute drive away is the Sierra Nevada, where you can enjoy skiing or mountain climbing. And just 40 minutes away is the sea, for surfing, diving or just enjoying the sun.

A young, vibrant city of science

We are located in Granada, the old Nasrid kingdom, an epicentre of history, culture, architecture, education and innovation.

Granada University is among the top five in Spain and every year welcomes a total of 47,000 students. Of these, almost 9,000 are postgraduate students.

The Granada International Festival of Music and Dance is a cultural landmark. The city has numerous museums, theatres and music festivals and it is one of the finest exponents of the Mediterranean diet, thanks to the locally-produced fruit and vegetables.

It is home to over 50 scientific research centres and institutes in all areas of knowledge, with Life and Health Sciences at its heart.

Reasons to spare

1. Business costs
In Andalusia, labour costs, including salaries, the tax burden and the company’s operating costs, are 10% lower than the national average and almost 30% lower than average EU costs.

2. 2. Human resources
Andalusia has 30,000 researchers and doctors working in R&D. It has over 4 million employees, being the Spanish region with the largest active population in Spain, and the third highest number of graduates in the workforce.

3. Support for innovation
Our region offers aid of up to 30% of the investment (50% for SMEs) to companies that require new facilities, create employment, increase their productive capacity or invest in technological innovation..

4. Legal framework
Spanish regulations governing clinical tests simplify procedures, reduce timescales and increase testing in early phases.

5. Quality of life
Spain is in the second position in the WHO ranking of life expectancy and the 27th happiest country in the world, according to the World Happiness Index.

One step away from the world

We are part of Europe and we have land, air and sea connections with the rest of the world. Andalusia is the Spanish region with most high-speed train stations (6), of which 4 connect the provincial capitals of Granada, Seville, Malaga and Cordoba. Furthermore, it is home to the most important container port in the country and is the only region in the Iberian Peninsula with 5 international airports in its territory.
